Enjoying some food after a sweaty day of cycling

I was born and raised in a suburb of Vancouver, BC. Since then, I’ve grown up, gotten an education, lived in a few different places (currently Toronto, ON), and travelled (a bit of) the world. During that time, I’ve had the opportunity to try out a wide range of experiences, and have learned a lot about myself along the way.

I guess I could be described as a  bit of a do-er. Most of this stems from just wanting to test myself, physically or otherwise, or to experience the wonders that the world has to offer. A prime example of this is how I one day decided that I was going to cycle across Canada — that seems like a pie-in-the-sky dream, right? Well, along with a friend, I accomplished that goal in the summer of 2014!

They say that there is nothing left to explore in this world, but I don’t feel that’s really true! The greatest unknown is not what is out “there”, it’s discovering what’s inside you. So, in that sense, I really do like to think of myself as a modern-day explorer. And along the way, I’ve learned that I really like a few activities to help in this exploration; a quick list would include running, cycling, triathlon, rock climbing, scuba diving, hiking, and camping. But really, anything that pushes me mentally or physically (or both!) has a place on the list.
